WHAT WE DO

In our People’s (African/Black People’s) Return to Righteous Living and Sovereignty, Blessings Not Curses (BNC) – through publications, classes, workshops, lectures, and partnerships with, promotion of and participation in African Educational village-institutions – emphasizes several imigomo (isiZulu: principles).

Alignment

with the Creator’s Will & Way in thought, word and deed

ReAfricanization

including honoring our Nsamanfo (Twi: Ancestors), learning from their example, and perceiving and doing from the perspective of what is best for African people, what is just, and what is ethical

Family Building

including preparation for marriage, mate selection, courtship, marriage itself, parenting and grandparenting

Righteous Living & Sovereignty

as the Creator-ordained, and therefore best, condition under which African (Black) People should live, and the only meaningful definition of Liberation

African Education

which starts with the Home and Family – and extends through the entire Village – as the necessary and primary vehicle for instilling the values, competence and commitment needed to restore our people

African Personality Development

including conflict management skills, self-discipline, cooperation, collectivity, industriousness, honesty and overall Suban Trenee (Twi: Righteous Character)

African Cultural Expression

including promoting positive images and inner-attainment/edu-tainment, countering the decadent anti-African media and “popular culture,” and stressing the importance of African holidays, ceremonies, languages, dress and pride in our Creator-given physical characteristics

Land-based Village-Institutional Development and Surthrival

as living models of, and therefore promoters of, African Sovereignty, and featuring: Creator-centered living and social relationships; full-time African Education; slowly-growing, yet ever-growing communal self-reliance; whole person wellness; and respect for, and work with, Asase Yaa (Twi: Mother Earth/the environment)
